TOPIC 2 - GOAL SETTING

This topic will focus primarily on goal setting.

What Is The Meaning of Goals?

Goal is something you want to achieve. Its the desired result that you plan and commit to achieving. Put simply, a goal is a dream with a deadline.

THE FIVE STEPS APPROACH

When we want to achieve our goals, we can use the S.M.A.R.T method. S.M.A.R.T is an acronym stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. Based on the diagram, here's are my thought of the five steps approach to achieve goals.

1) Specific : Outlining each step to the goal provides clarity. Make your goal specific and narrow foe more effective planning.

2) Measurable : Make sure my goals is measurable. For example, how will I know when its accomplished.

3) Achievable : Make sure I can accomplish my goal within a certain time frame. For example, what action must I take to complete it.

4) Relevant : Goals should align with values and long term objectives.

5) Time-Bound : Set a realistic but ambitious end date to clarify  task priotization and increase motivation.

In summary, the process of creating S.M.A.R.T. goals ensures that your objectives are clear, attainable, and consistent with your main aims. It will also provide you with a reason to continue monitoring your development and staying inspired. This methodical approach increases the probability of success and facilitates effective time and resource management.
